Nicole’s Goals for 2014

Strength

I have been thinking about my goals and what I would like to do in 2014.  Honestly?  I’m not 100% percent as there is so much more that I desire to do and adding on moving overseas will make goal setting a little difficult. However, it is not impossible!

A few goals I’ve been thinking of dabbling in:

  • Continuing to write for my blog several times a week.
  • Make new friends by networking with others who have their own blogs and websites.
  • Find free options to treat my chronic illnesses.
  • Travel locally around my new hometown, take many pictures, and meet new people.
  • Continue with my exercise weight loss plan. I have lost over 30 pounds so far.
  • Sign up with a rubber stamping/scrapbooking/craft direct selling company. I’ll be able to craft while I’m in my new home. Also look into other direct selling companies that would be of interest to me.
  • Expand my writing business to various levels and increase my income opportunities.
  • Work on finding my own inner peace and happiness.  This includes doing meditation on a regular basis and daily yoga techniques.
  • Find hobbies that will easily interest me and is inexpensive.
  • Look into trying new things such as zip lining.

So here’s to a successful 2014!

Kickstart Up My Future

bookpencilWow! I have had such a busy week that I didn’t get a chance to finish my posts for this week.  I decided to make this a personal blog post as this is after all my blog.  I have been battling with various health ailments which unfortunately prevented me from being able to write.  I’m always adjusting and working on better plans to help me deal with major hiccups like this.  All I can do is hang in there and do the best that I can.

On that note I decided that I need to go after the business tools to help me meet my goals.  So you will see a GoFundMe campaign starting next month and I encourage you to support my cause.  I see something great and magnificent in my future but I need help to get there.  For the first time in a long time I am seeking help.  It took a lot out of me to put aside my pride and allow others to help me.  While I am doing the best that I can to help myself, I will need the assistance from others too.  Thank you and Happy Holidays!

The Power of Writing

bookpencilWriting through the Use of NaNoWrimo and NaBloPoMo

I have been drawn into the yearly pilgrimage of participating in two powerful movements called NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo.  I admit both of those acronyms have thrown me off a little while attempting to write them out. NaBloPoMo stands for: National Blog Posting Month.  The primary goal of participating in NaBloPoMo is to challenge the blogger to post on a daily basis during the entire month.  Bloggers are encouraged to take up the challenge of writing about any topic that moves them.

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month which is a yearly novel writing event that brings together writers of all levels whether they are professional writers or amateur writers.  This project occurs during November and brings writers together all over the world completing 50,000 words within a thirty day period.

I have decided to participate in both NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo as honestly it is a much needed distraction from my continuous and nonstop chronic health illnesses.  I have several illnesses that I battle with on a 24/7 basis and I needed something to motivate and encourage me.  I changed the way I’m handling this year’s challenge.  For NaNoWrimo I’m meeting my 50,000 words through completing various writing projects.  I am working on several e-book projects but I’m focused on ironing out all of the details first.  I’m writing some parts of the e-books which is a wonderful experience to take part in too.

The power of this distraction will hopefully assist me with growing as a writer and expanding further in my career.
